Privacy Policy for ChronoDots

Effective date: 2026-08-27

Overview

ChronoDots is a local-first Android app published by Zorbey Torunoglu. It provides daily, monthly, yearly, and life-progress calendar views, together with optional Android home-screen widgets.

The current ChronoDots app is designed to work locally on your device. It does not require an account, and the reviewed source contains no backend, cloud-sync, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, billing, or other telemetry service.

Information stored on your device

If you choose to enter them, ChronoDots stores your name, birth date, and selected expected end date for the life-progress view locally in the app's DataStore file.

ChronoDots also stores app preferences such as theme, background, selected calendar view, special-moment display preference, and widget display preferences. Local widget state needed to render and update widgets may also be stored on the device.

Information we collect

We do not collect or receive this profile or preference data on our servers. ChronoDots does not request the Android INTERNET permission, and the current app source contains no account, network client, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or in-app-purchase integration.

ChronoDots uses the device's current date and time and Android's local alarm, wake-lock, boot, and home-screen-widget facilities to calculate and refresh calendar views. These local operations do not send your profile or preference data to us.

How data is used

Local data is used only to render calendar and life-progress views, personalize display settings, and update optional home-screen widgets.

Sharing and third-party services

We do not sell, rent, or share ChronoDots app data with third parties. The reviewed app source does not include third-party telemetry or advertising SDKs. Google Play, Android, and your device manufacturer may process information independently as part of app distribution, device operation, backup, or security; those activities are governed by their own policies.

Backups, retention, and deletion

Your local ChronoDots data remains on the device until you change it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. ChronoDots does not provide an online account or server-side deletion process because it does not receive this data.

The current Android configuration allows app backup and does not define exclusions for the ChronoDots DataStore file. Depending on your Android version, device settings, and backup choices, local app data may be copied to a backup or transferred to another device. Manage or delete those copies through your Android or backup-account settings; clearing local app storage or uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove an independently retained backup.

Policy website technical logs

When you open this policy website, our nginx server may record standard request information such as IP address, date and time, requested path, user-agent, referrer, and response status in server access logs for security and operation. These logs are not ChronoDots app telemetry. On the current server configuration, nginx logs are rotated daily with up to 14 rotations retained, unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.

This product-hub page does not use ChronoDots account cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics.

Security

ChronoDots stores data in app-private Android storage. Protect your device and Android backup account because we cannot control access to data on your device or in backups. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

Children and changes

ChronoDots is not directed to children under 13, and because the app does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app.

We may update this policy if ChronoDots or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
